We are looking to recruit an organized and flexible Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Principal Inspections team at Aston
Responsibilities
Leading a small team you’ll carry out a range of bridge Principal and Special inspections combined with assorted Structures Watchman duties. Both will involve report writing and data entry into SMIS, and some of the inspections will be carried out at night. The implementation of health and safety procedures around structure inspections will figure highly and you’ll help ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation with respect to highway structures
Requirements
You’ll need experience of bridge inspection work and network management or engineering construction along with knowledge of bridge defects and remedial measures. The ability to use SMIS and a good understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation as well as Highways Agency technical standards and procedures is equally important. Probably HND/Degree (or equivalent) qualified, you’ll need plenty of commercial acumen and a commitment to delivering quality work within agreed timescales.
