| Role: My client are an Installation, Engineering and Facility Management company focused on high technology and complex industrial market sectors including, Semiconductor, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare.
They are a combination of an existing Engineering company, supported by a new management team with leading edge experience and knowledge of international Cleanroom Design, Construction, UHP Piping and Facility Management markets.
Current Project is a £10m Pipework Installation due for Completion October 2008
They are seeking a Mechanical Quantity surveyor for a permanent positions based in Newcastle.
General:
Must be capable of working without the need for supervision
Bright, Self Motivated, Pro-active etc etc
Have experience of working as a Contractors QS / Sub-Contractor QS
Have experience of Mechanical Services Installations
Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for financial management and financial control of the Project reporting to the Commercial Director.
Maximise financial recovery on the Project.
Duties will include:
Normal Day to Day duties associated with a Site Based Contractors QS role
Interface with Client QS
Prepare and Agree Interim Valuations
Prepare and Agree Variations
Prepare and Agree any Claims as necessary
Internal Reporting on a Monthly basis, on Contract Cost / Value / P+L
Sub-Contract Procurement / Management of Sub-Contract Accounts
Prepare and Closeout Final Accounts
In conjunction with the Project Manager, monitor all aspects of spend to ensure it is adequately controlled against Tender Allowances.
