My client is a multi-national organisation, with offices in both areas. They are looking for a Principal / Associate Highways design engineer to cope with the influx of major developments currently undergoing and the potential of new projects imminently starting.
• responsible for managing highway-related projects from conceptual stages through all phases of pre- and post-contract activities
• managerial responsibility for scheduling and resourcing project teams and related staff development activities
• an expert in highway schemes of significant importance, and demonstrate a very high degree of technical independence
• similarly, in business support functions (finance/personnel, etc) this level is characterised by skill group-wide responsibility.
• The successful candidate should possess a relevant degree or equivalent with chartered status and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
• leadership and the ability to maintain a highly-motivated team
• a full understanding of the DMRB and MCHW
• able to lead multi-disciplinary projects and be the principal client contact
• demonstrate an ability to assist in the expansion of the business
• Can demonstrate design ability with good working knowledge of MX and be able to demonstrate the ability to check these designs.
